What was your career path before joining KOBEX ?
After graduating from university, I worked in a variety of jobs, including the service industry and sales and quality assurance at a metal processing company. During this time, I got to know someone at KOBEX, who contacted me directly, which led me to join the company (referral hiring).
What skills did you want to develop when you joined KOBEX ?
I joined the company hoping to improve my manufacturing skills, such as quality assurance and management, but now I am also working hard with an eye towards strengthening my sales side.
What do you enjoy about working at KOBEX ?
First of all, I am allowed to do what I want to do. Of course, not everything goes as I want it to, but if something I want to do isn't possible, I am grateful that the reason is clear.
Another attraction of working at KOBEX is that it is not yet a fully developed company, but rather a venture-like feel. The fact that I can "create not only the product but also the company" is very rewarding.
Is there a moment in your work that you feel is typical of KOBEX ?
The idea of "working with the customer in mind" is widespread in the workplace. Therefore, I think there is an environment where we can thoroughly discuss things for the customer without worrying about what the superiors think.
In addition, I think that it is typical of KOBEX that they like to adopt new ideas, but also value the Showa-era sense of duty and humanity both inside and outside the company. And also, for better or worse, they work hard in solidarity with a small number of people.
What kind of people is KOBEX suitable for ?
In the rapidly changing environment of the environment industry, I think KOBEX is a good fit for people who can multitask, have no qualms about adopting new things, and are not afraid of change. Also because we have a small team, people who can work seriously with others, rather than getting too close, should be a good fit for our company.
On the other hand, if you are the type of person who only does the tasks you are assigned, such as dealing with customers while designing, then you may not be a good fit.
