Tokyo Ohka Kogyo Co., Ltd

Since our founding in 1969, our company (Kobex Co., Ltd.) has been developing technologies that meet the needs of the times by making full use of patented technologies and the development of environment-related and labor-saving equipment. In recent years, we have been aiming to be a "company that contributes to resource recycling" and have been handling solvent recycling equipment aimed at the regeneration and reuse of fossil fuels and vacuum steam cleaning equipment using our own technology.

Please tell us about your company's efforts and future prospects.

At our Utsunomiya plant, we use many types of organic solvents, and the majority of the waste generated in the manufacturing process is flammable waste oil (specially controlled industrial waste). To reduce this, we need to recycle it by distillation or turn it into valuable material as high-calorie fuel, etc., and we are working hard every day to turn waste from the manufacturing process into valuable material. We are also actively working with raw material manufacturers to consider whether we can turn raw material containers and other materials into valuable materials. We will continue to work to reduce waste with even greater cooperation from related departments and businesses.

Initiatives with Tokyo Ohka "Working together to further reduce waste"

We have been in business with Tokyo Ohka since they installed our equipment at their Utsunomiya plant about seven years ago. When implementing the equipment, we had some difficulties adjusting to the strict specifications unique to the semiconductor industry, but we worked to solve the issues one by one while exchanging information closely with the person in charge.
We have heard that waste has been significantly reduced since the introduction, and we hope to contribute to further waste reduction by proposing and building the optimal equipment both domestically and overseas while exchanging information with the EHS department, which oversees Tokyo Ohka's environmental activities.
